I’m 35 today
It’s Thursday, and I’m thankful to be 35. It’s not so bad.
I’m thankful that I found my favorite necklace from Britta last night so that I could wear it today and feel pretty with my artistic blown glass momento.
I’m thankful that so many great people at work came through and we threw an awesome suprise shower for my pregnant boss…who was thrilled.
I’m thankful that the shower impressed my boss so much that she told me to take the rest of the day off as a paid birthday.
I’m thankful for the perspective to know that leaving now would mean bigger, meaner stacks of things to do come Monday, so I turned my boss down in favor of finishing my work-day.
But, I’m also thankful for imagination, because I made a trade and told my boss I’d finish out today if I could skip out early and take Hannah swimming tomorrow. She is very generous and told me to take the WHOLE day off tomorrow, paid as a treat on her! YAY for three day weekends! Now I’m EXTRA Thankful!

Ok. That just made me way jealous. Can she teach my boss about giving paid time off as a treat? That would never happen. You are sooooo lucky.

I love your Thankful Thursady’s. I think I need to start doing them. hOw blessed are we and never take the time to be thankful for the little things like our eye sight, and our hands.
