Another week!

Another Thursday and I have to say that I’m so grateful for random interesting events that bring us work and fun.

I’m grateful for full-on cowboys in Idaho that hired us at the last minute to drive up and spend the day on a ranch taking pictures of a great outdoor wedding with bales of hay as benches for the ceremony, saddles and hats as decorations, and barbed wire around the cake. Hannah had a blast petting the 9-foot monster of a Clydesdale, Big Tom, screaming happily in conversation to the old deaf and blind St. Bernard laying on the lawn, as well as changing into her jeans and sitting up like a big girl on the centerpiece saddle. I finally got all of the foxtails out of my pants, and Jon is still drooling in memory of the bbq we had, so, in the end, all of it was awesome fun.

I’m grateful for statements like, “I saw you at so-and-so’s wedding and I liked how you worked. Can you do my wedding too?”

I’m grateful that Jon is so talented, but still asks for my help now and then when he gets blocked because we come up with awesome things when we work together like our new ad that will be printed in the upcoming Utah Dream Weddings magazine. Isn’t it cool?!

I’m grateful for the secretaries I work with that started an underground movement to wear jeans on Thursday because the holiday tomorrow basically makes it Friday today. Thanks, Norma Rae! Vive le revolution!!!

I’m grateful for fun friends who give me awards like this one:

And my own five choices for Blog of the week are Britta (far and away the best and most entertaining blog of all time!), Denise (even though she gave me the award, I always enjoy her posts and it’s in my top five to check every day!), Sister Missionary Erin (it’s always good to catch up on her and see her work and humility), Kirsten (always fun photos of the family), and BeQui (she’s a little wacky, and sometimes her stories make you wonder if you’ll ever be able to forget what you just read, but it’s ALWAYS funny).  Now you five get to pick YOUR top five.

And, finally, I’m grateful to live in such a great country…despite a lack of moral fiber in our leadership options and some issues with our borders, it really is the best. As cheesy as it is, I’m grateful to be an American…especially when being one means I get to sleep in tomorrow. Happy 4th of July everyone!!!
