What an absolutely insane month!!!

Too much to tell in one sitting…even for me…so here are some highlights!

* Took Hannah for her 1-year doctor visit. She’s perfect…again.
* Hannah got grumpy from the shots for a week.
* I got sick…no idea why.
* Went to Phoenix for the Professional Photographers of America Conference.
* Got better in the Phoenix sun.
* Got inspired by the courses at the conference and have started some steps to big changes in the business…more details on that later.
* Had some great friends along for the trip that were so awesome to watch Hannah for us during classes.
* Had the most decadent, delicious, and divine fish of my life at the Chart House in Phoenix. HIGHLY recommended if you ever visit. Also tasted caviar for the first time, but don’t recommend that. Makes me glad that all of the most expensive habits are ‘acquired’ so that I don’t have to be sad about missing them, and I don’t have to take the time to ‘enjoy’ them.
* Wondered if we weren’t pregnant and bought a test, but nope, definitely not pregnant.
* Decided to maybe try for baby #2 in a couple more months. No rush.
* Drove home through Vegas and St. George and got to visit with Aaronee & Vaughn…LOVE them.
* Got home later than expected on a Thursday night, but bless Michelle and Jim for taking a load of furniture down to the Thanksgiving Point show without us for our booth display.
* Up early on Friday to buy flowers for the trade show and had a blast using feathers, crystals, and fake butterflies.
* Joined Jon, Jim, and Michelle at the booth, which they’d decorated quite well without me. Added my flowers and we gave our pitch with big smiles and happy hearts.
* Full Saturday at the trade-show mostly by myself while Jim and Michelle ran different errands and Jon shot a wedding AND an engagement.
* Broke down the booth quickly and with great help but went home exhausted with a bag of Arby’s as my reward.
* Got sustained as a new Nursery leader in my ward.
* Finished the layout for two photo albums and coordinated prints for past brides.
* Met with a bride and her PARENTS…BOTH parents…Dad was the most vocal…we’ll see how that one goes!
* Hannah fell down the stairs. I knew it would happen at some point, but it’s still not fun. She’s fine…and is doing much better going down backwards now.
* Got sick again and slept all day yesterday.

Add in business, family, friends, and a random need to cook a turkey dinner last week, and that’s my month. Whew! It’s not over yet, but I’ll get back more quickly next time!
Happy Chinese New Year!

  1. Well, dang! That WAS a huge month. Who ever said January was supposed to be totally boring and mellow after the craziness of Christmas obviously doesn’t know you! :) What’s Feb. like? Any chance the 4 musketeers can get together?
